What is Helix
Helix is an app that allows consolidation of multiple credit/debit cards, gift cards and loyalty cards.
I conducted intial follow-up user interviews to discuss needs and pain points for the users. After conducting user interviews, I synthesized the user research to create a strong persona based on the user and similar archetypes.
With proper planning, I was able to confidently move into creating wireframes for the app. I focused more on the functionality and structure of the app, opting for low-fidelity wireframes with very little detail.
Helix was an Android app, where I adhered to Google’s material design guidelines. One thing we decided on with Helix was not using usernames for the log in and just letting users enter their passwords.
Here is a look at how to add cards in the wallet, users can either enter their cards manually as shown below or they can tap on the camera icon to add the cards.
After adding the cards on the wallet, users could use the app to pay at any POS system that accepted NFC payments. An important feature after using the card was to be able for users to see their transaction details on the app.
All the settings, notifications, help and support were tucked inside the navigation drawer. Users could open by tapping the hamburger menu icon on the top left corner.
